When I was a kid, I remembered my parents getting pictures back that they took on vacations or special events. When I pulled the pictures out of the folder, there were those brown strips called negatives. I always thought they were pretty neat. I would hold them up to the light and try to make out what picture it was.
Years later, I found a box full of negatives and I had no idea where the pictures where. I assumed they were at my parents' house - stored somewhere. Funny how you take pictures to remember certain things, but to store them away, never to be found again.
Anyway, like when I was a kid, I once again held the negatives up to a light. I would love to see those pictures in color again. I read somewhere online that there were companies that would SCAN NEGATIVES TO DIGITAL images and put them on a DVD. So I went back to the internet and googled NEGATIVE SCANNING COMPANIES and found one in Grove City, Ohio. I looked at their website and found out that the price was not bad at all in order for them to get the job done. So I downloaded their order form, packed it up with my negatives and sent it to Digital Memories Online, which was about the best scanning company that I could find anywhere.
A week later, got my negatives back with a DVD with the pictures that were on the negatives. I put the DVD into my computer and looked at the old photos. They were absolutely stunning. Colors were great, pictures were sharp, and they all looked like they were taken yesterday.
I'm glad I had my old negatives digitized into images. Now I can e-mail my pics and post them on Facebook for my friends and family to see. Now, I can relive the past once again.
